Legal Ethics Counsel
Amy J. Coco advises lawyers and law firms on legal ethics and professional responsibility.
She counsels on the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct, including conflicts of interest, confidentiality, fee agreements, trust accounting and IOLTA compliance, and lawyer and firm transitions, departures, and dissolutions. She also advises on law practice management, succession planning, and the closing or transfer of a practice.
Coco serves as an expert witness and consultant on legal ethics and the standard of care in legal malpractice matters. She currently co-chairs the PBA Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee and is a former chair and current Duty Officer for the ACBA Professional Ethics Committee.
